Founding Fathers Quotes Friday

Okay it is a little later than I’d care for it to be on Friday, but by the grace of god here I/we are and it just happens to be Founding Fathers Quotes Friday.

And for nothing except that it is time to wake-up, smell the coffee, and get alert my friends there are a few matters that we need to address before going further. This is the point of writing that I love…

How long has it been since any one has looked at the newspaper headlines of late? Here are a few for you…Pakistan urges Taliban peace talks with Afghanistan; Missing exec’s employee named person of interest; Boy, 9, charged in shooting of classmate makes bail; States sue to block contraception mandate; or maybe, 16 States now selling medical Marijuana: and, Honeymoon killer suspect Aquitted?

After catching a glimpse of a portion of America Live with Megyn Kelly and the experts she had on the show taking Barack Obama’s oil reserve, oil consumption, and oil drilling number to their rightful points in reality, we are sure that this man and anyone of his Administration will not lie, cheat, steal, or whatever else to get it.

Reminded me of a great quote I’d read a while back from one of our more feisty Founders:

“If ever time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin…” Samuel Adams

Are you a patriot? Are you tired of the various compromises that have been going on in this country. Goodness gracious already — most people are hiding behind the legitimate matters that are going array — such as the abuse of Constitutional law by our own president; others are stiffing-up at public education and the associated government intervention that goes along with everything we do. Examples such as meals during school hours, entire new ‘food pyramids,’ on food boxes; is this what is meant by “losing liberty?”

“Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote!”… Benjamin Franklin

As long as this same-sex marriage continues to be the only matter which remotely seems justifiable — and I am not saying that it is — however, where is our leadership that continues to harp about religious freedoms, freedom of speech, and just electing a human that will not tell lies…oh well, we’re here…The Thinker.
