An Administration Failure…

An Administration Failure…

On Founding Father’s Quotes Friday we just happened to make good notice of one of the quotes from Alexander Hamilton that with nothing else in mind we would like to revisit his comment and make a few comments of our own.

ffqf_hamilton1According to Alexander Hamilton, when looking at the kind of leadership that is given the opportunity to lead, he states:

“A feeble executive implies a feeble execution of the government. A feeble execution is but another phrase for a bad execution; and a government ill executed, whatever may be its theory, must be, in practice, a bad government.” Federalist No. 70, 1788

“To admit foreigners indiscriminately to the rights of citizens the moment they put foot in our country would be nothing less than to admit the Grecian horse into the citadel of our liberty and sovereignty.” Alexander Hamilton, Pacificus, No. 6, July 17, 1793

Furthermore, Hamilton states, “The United States have already felt the evils of incorporating a large number of foreigners into their national mass; by promoting in different classes different predilections in favor of particular foreign nations, and antipathies against others, it has served very much to divide the community and to distract our councils. It has been often likely to compromise the interests of our own country in favor of another.”

“The safety of a republic depends essentially on the energy of a common national sentiment; on a uniformity of principles and habits; on the exemption of the citizens from foreign bias and prejudice; and on that love of country which will almost invariably be found to be closely connected with birth, education and family.” Alexander Hamilton, Examination of the President’s Message, Continued, No. VIII”

Make no doubt about it, Hamilton — given his birth in the Caribbean, the role that he provided for his family, through his military prowess as well as his diplomatic status knew the inherent difficulties of uncontrolled mass immigration. In a small but eloquent speech he noted:
“The survival of the American republic,” Hamilton maintained, depends upon “the preservation of a national spirit and a national character.”

It is not suspect to call upon any Founder for seeing to it how and why our nation has survived the “Great Experiment.” There are more words of authentic leadership put forth by Alexander Hamilton above, then we are able to muster for and on behalf of Barack Obama.

Although we did find one interesting irony with regards to the current administration. It is clearly true that “A feeble executive implies a feeble execution of government…” To this day we are still looking for a way to adhere to what many former Presidents warned us on immigration. (Please see Immigration/Founding Father’s in the archives.)

The Grecian horse into the citadel of our liberty, to me very much illuminates the Trojan Horse and allowing gifts or otherwise from people of foreign decent. Above all, Hamilton and many others had respect for their country — they indeed had a revolution, followed by a war in which most of them served, and given that experience tried to warn future generations of what may happen.

Quick change here — This is from an article I read earlier during the week: From  The St. Lake Tribune

U.S. immigration authorities say they are monitoring a hunger strike at a Miami detention center, where several men from Bangladesh have been refusing to eat.

ICE1282014_0Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokesman Nestor Yglesias said Sunday that the Krome Service Processing Center has medical and mental health care providers to monitor and treat detainees.

A petition filed last week in Miami federal court listed 10 male detainees as participants in the hunger strike that began Dec. 2.

The petition seeks an emergency court order to force them to submit to medical tests to monitor their health, which they refused Friday.

According to court documents, the men expressed discontent with ICE and dissatisfaction with their immigration cases.
