The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement or ICE is the agency of the Department of Homeland Security that is charged with seeing to it that some semblance of safety and security is guaranteed to the people of this nation predicated upon assuring those rights which individuals have and furthermore are alleged to justify a democratic-republic form of government.
ICE used to be the Immigration and Naturalization Service that, as we know, became dysfunctional and inoperative as a means of national security inasmuch as the individual personnel with ICE have been unable to work effectively primarily because of “…our inactive federal government.”
Now John Morton, the director of ICE has issued marching orders to agents in the field to grant parole to illegal aliens, issuing deferred action to illegal aliens, issuing extended voluntary departure for removable aliens, granting work authorization to aliens on a discretionary basis, granting Temporary Protected Status (TPS) to any new groups of aliens, waiving the three and 10 year bars to admittance for aliens who have been illegally present in the U.S., and granting cancellation of removal to illegal immigrants.
Moreover, ICE chief John Morton is allowing the agency’s prosecutors to drop charges against illegal aliens so they are unable to be deported. This entire process is what is referred to as “Administrative Amnesty.” This tactic first came into light last year when a secret memo advocating the practice as a way of circumventing Congress’ authority was leaked. The secret memo was written to President Obama and endorsed by 12 congressional officials.
