Let’s not be victims of sensationalism…

newspaperLet’s not be victims of Sensationalism…

As any responsible mature adult in this country knows – very well – that the media, given the opportunity will spin almost anything out of recognition.

Not that we here at The Contemplative Thinker have taken recent scandals and made light of them, oh contraire! However, we also believe that every newsworthy piece of information be properly scrutinized. (Notice keyword “properly.”)

We would like to caution everyone remotely interested in the George Zimmerman trial to be careful. In those types of public interest matters the big mainstream media outfits hire nytpsychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, community organizers, and more of the same of those given to mental manipulation.

What it is that we find interesting up to this point is how “impartial” many of the proposed jurors are?

From Fox News “Among those interviewed was a white man in his 20s who left the courtroom without being asked questions by defense attorneys after he gave answers to prosecutors indicating he would not be impartial. The juror, known as R-39 because potential panelists can be identified only by their numbers, said, “Murder is murder,” even if it is self-defense. Zimmerman, 29, is pleading not guilty to second-degree murder, claiming he shot Martin in self-defense.”

We all have to remember what this is and to keep that in a proper perspective. Unfortunately what we are dealing with is a person’s loss of life. Consequently therefore in order to remain objective keep the entire matter in its proper perspective – there just happens to be another human being who is involved and sees it a much different way.

In other matters… Vote for Border Security hits the Senate floor

While the Committee accepted numerous amendments, none changed the core provisions of the bill and many amendments made the bill worse. In the end, the Judiciary Committee approved the bill, as amended, by a vote of 13 to 5. The Senate will likely take up the bill on the floor in early June.

It is early, almost mid-June and the Border Security aspect of the bill was defeated. For the most part, after espousing this ideology for years now, I still do not portend to know or understand what these Senator’s do
san-diego-border-patrol-agentsfor a living.

If I were not a level headed man, I’d start SCREAMING AS LOUD AS POSSIBLE to vote every one of them out. However, there are some newer ones of the lot that appear to be well worth of whatever they do.

Yet I feel relatively certain that the majority of the USA understands what I am referring too. How many Senator’s have died of natural causes in the last two or three years? All things being equal there does exist an
executive branch agency that does have an age rule on when one’s career must change.

The agency is the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) which still has rules in place for when a pilot is no longer able to fly. Help me here, isn’t that in some violation of at least Age Discrimination laws?

And finally for today…ask yourselves please – if 70 percent of the American public wants Border Security before anything else is going to be done – please help me out again…why would the Senate be so avidly against securing the border?

Therefore we leave now asking everyone who can read, to please read this!

The Results of BIG government

June 9, 2013 Leave a comment

The Results of BIG government Please be advised that this writing is a catharsis of sorts.

There are a lot, enormous amounts of “We the People(s)” that are talking today, yesterday, and we’re sure tomorrow about the notion of keeping track of a large family. Then again there will be those given overdistress to coaching that will be espousing I need assistant coaches to keep this mob of young athletes in order. Just about anything bigger than a normal sized youth football, baseball, or soccer team these days will need to be molded by way of militaristic means.

Let’s apply these principles to government. Unless one is trying to make a huge family, that literally can support millions if not hundreds of millions of people at any time why is the need for big government?

the goooo2This is where we at The Contemplative Thinker, believe that the early colonists may have had the opportunity to view life and the realities thereof in a far different way than we do. And nowhere is that more pronounced than in the U.S. Constitution.

Specifically the entire Constitution; albeit, more so in the Bill of Rights insofar as it is there that the provisions for humanity’s assurances of protection and the deliverance of their own rights are reflected.

We need to express this issue more than everything else does on earth. How many of us can with all honesty can say that we trust our very own government? We’ve got the Department of Justice and their law apportioned outfits – F.B.I., DEA, AFT, running willy nilly around not only our own country, but put us in flux of international embarrassment when operatives on the inside are discussing with who will listen to them what straw-man operation the G-Men have running in Mexico commonly referred to as Fast & Furious.

And since when does the POTUS have the authority or where-with-all to commit troops and/or America’s Air Forces at will to where he thinks it will do him light in an election? Try the “No Flight Zone” over Libya with subsequent bombings of military targets. No, no, no now – war activities are always conducted by Congress as mandated by the U.S. Constitution.

You may want to call this person – Barack Obama – your Commander-in-Chief, but I refuse too. No CIC would allow Americans to die in Benghazi, Libya. Ask yourselves who got the most steamed at the “no-go” orders. You betcha, it was the combat troops who were on the ground ready to go help and save their buddies.

Someone please tell me here…who is it that is authorizing millions of illegal aliens into our nation through his plan of backdoor amnesty? I mean grow a set, please! Will it cost the BIG FAT GOVERNMENT MORE to ship every one of the illegals back to the place of origin? We don’t think so…all things being equal, if anyone were to look to the costs of entitlement programs, social security, and on down the line, it would cost considerably less just to send them back.

Take it easy gang…we understand that America is “the land of immigrants.” So what? We also maintained being the most mightiest nation militarily until we found ourselves in the position of having men fight in consecutive tours, or four or five six or seven of them. All the while what were those illegal “land of immigrants” doing other than having babies, working at some job the vet had planned to come back too, maybe knocking off the local 7-11 store, or even killing a family member without a valid driver’s license whilst being inebriated? All of this and more compliments of “…our inactive federal government to do its job”… Barack Obama.

So now…thanks to Malkin’s book “Culture of Corruption” which is dedicated to the whistleblowers of our nation by the way; we now have a President who is blaming Congress for activities that any normal andimagesCA6MKTD1 ethical person would have done. Short one here gang, who gave the orders to have the world’s largest news organization, the Associated Press, International (AP) an executive (?) order, court order or whatever order to allow the pursing of journalists secret email, and phone numbers to file charges that their doing something egregiously wrong that would fit into a terrorist label?

Now this expressive cliché has been around as long as anyone’s language in whatever country. “Duh, you got to hit em’ where it does the most damage…take a person’s money and they’ll do anything for ya’.” This of course brings us to the next segment of Government gone badly. The world’s largest negotiator of cash to nation’s around the world and to everyone who lives in this country – the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) targets whomever they want too…just don’t tell anyone you’ll vote for another candidate other than Barack Obama.

Nothing and we mean NOTHING would ever be able to start the President from not knowing this was going on. There were so many filed complaints in Congress alone for someone not to have spoken about this issue – moreover, how do we account for the ridiculous amounts of visits to the White House by the IRS Commissioner?

HolderbugHere is the pathetic summation: Does any of you remember the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) or the immediate follow-up called The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) (Pub.L. 111–5), commonly referred to as the Stimulus or The Recovery Act, was an economic stimulus package enacted by the 111th United States Congress in February 2009 and signed into law on February 17, 2009, by President Barack Obama.

To respond to the late-2000s recession, the primary objective for ARRA was to save and create jobs almost immediately. Secondary objectives were to provide temporary relief programs for those most impacted by the recession and invest in infrastructure, education, health, and renewable energy. The approximate cost of the economic stimulus package was estimated to be $787 billion at the time of passage, later revised to $831 billion between 2009 and 2019.[1] The Act included direct spending in infrastructure, education, health, and energy, federal tax incentives, and expansion of unemployment benefits and other social welfare provisions.

Now least I forget the most monumentous being to take place on American soil. You’ve got it – Obamacare! All during the time that the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 or the “Stimulus” was going on to create immediate jobs and relief programs to those most impacted, whilst at the same time “…we have shovel ready jobs now…our infrastructure and especially energy needs to be worked on”…Barack Obama.

Then what happened…Solyndra happened. Some $534 million dollars of taxpayer funds went swirling down the john. Our problem was to find out if this program had even been around long enough to receive and bolose that kind of money – about a year.

Now after wittingly and knowingly in the middle of this scam – why wouldn’t the President, his DOE appointee, and V.P. Joe Biden think that the IRS would not target those groups that may or may not vote against him in 2012. So sorry folks for my own peace of mind I need to bring this notion forth. We were the ones who wrote about Barack and Michelle’s personal trainer flying out from Chicago, Ill two maybe three times per week for those intimate work out sessions; we furthermore lauded on paper the costs of flying to and from Hawaii and back during his holiday time.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong or incorrect – why does Barack Obama list his place of residence as Hawaii? He has no relatives alive there; no property owned there, and who knows if he has many friends there?

We also brought to you the overly-lavish spending that went on during Michelle Obama and the “girls” trip to Spain or Brazil. Altogether this family has cost the country far more than what he or anyone of his elite cronies combined has taken out. Suffice it to say, I love Tiger Woods, but Barack the weekend excursions to Florida to visit and playing golf with Mr. Woods must stop. Do you realize that it cost Air Force One $180,000 dollars per hour of operation?

How long is it going to take America – before you rip off the blind folds, tear out those ear plugs, and meet the man who is running this nation into oblivion? Reckless spending, ridiculous programs, reek all too much of words I don’t care to use at this time. But I will say that this person as well as his trusted mate, Eric Holder, and Napolitano must go if we are to recover. Just one last issue before we go….why when the world powers are upgrading all of their ordnance does Barack Obama still have the military budget as his lowest priority?

The Facts about Food Stamps Everyone Should Hear

May 28, 2013 Leave a comment

fed-food-stampA recent US News & World Report article set out to unveil the “facts” about food stamps.

What are the so-called “facts”?

For one, the article claims that the food stamps program is not “bloated,” but rather, the surge in participation and spending is a result of the program “doing what it’s supposed to do.”

But what is it “supposed to do”?

Food stamps (or the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), as it is now called) were designed to ensure that Americans without the ability to provide for themselves are able to receive basic nutrition. However, application loopholes and policy changes over the past decade or so have allowed recipients to bypass income and asset tests, meaning many people are receiving food stamps that would not have been eligible under the program’s original purposes.

Sound familiar to anyone? Let’s try this one on. During the late 1980s through the 1990s and just about through the first decade of 2000 people were held to fewer circumstances (income and asset tests) that those receiving food stamps today, albeit working with banks on home ownership.

We really don’t care what it is called meaning a recession or the housing bubble exploded. We don’t like to muddy the waters – orders given by politicians to bankers, investment bankers, and those given over to securities transactions – to literally lower the standards when purchasing a home is just plain wrong.

It seems very real and very possible that humankind will go for anything that’s not bolted down. Food stamps, housing, and other entitlements are definitely included. This blatant disrespect for one that uses these Bfoodstampreform2012chart1 (1)hand-outs (for those not needing them) is surely making its way into some kind of culture. One specific culture that we would prefer not to be aligned with.

One of the changes in eligibility requirements is “broad-based categorical eligibility.” This type of eligibility means that an individual who receives any service under another welfare program, such as Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)—even something as small as a TANF brochure—can be deemed eligible for food stamps. A full 50 percent of all food stamp recipients now enroll in the program through this broad-based categorical eligibility procedure.

In addition, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has operated substantial outreach programs to pull more people onto the food stamp rolls. Some states have gone so far as to hire food stamp recruiters, tasked with filling a monthly quota of new food stamp enrollees.

What’s more, food stamps are just one of roughly 80 federally funded means-tested welfare programs. The total cost of government welfare spending has been on a nearly continual climb over the past five decades and has increased 16-fold, to nearly $1 trillion annually, since the 1960s. Welfare is the fastest growing part of government spending, and under Obama’s fiscal year 2013 budget, total welfare spending will permanently increase from 4.5 percent of gross domestic product (GDP) to 6 percent of GDP.

In addition it should be noted “as a fact” that those receiving food stamps are those who work. However, a significant portion of able-bodied recipients of food stamps perform little to no work. Of the roughly 10.5 million households receiving food stamps containing an able-bodied, non-elderly adult (there are approximately 20 million households receiving food stamps total), more than half—5.5 million—performed no work during a given month in 2010. Another 1.5 million to 2 million performed fewer than 30 hours of work per week. This isn’t unique to the recession, but is typical even during good economic times.

Programs like food stamps should be reformed to promote self-reliance through work, empowering individuals and families to become free from government dependence.

Other topics that we are raring at the bit to get too is one the U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder; however it does take time sifting through all of his lies.

The other one we wanted to get to today….(time permitting) is the lifting of the arms embargo so that the Syrian opposition rebels can put together an overwhelming offensive on the current regime.

FOUNDING FATHERS QUOTES FRIDAY Liberty, Rights, Freedom, and the Opposite…

May 17, 2013 Comments off

We the People
Founding Fathers Quotes Friday on Liberty, Rights, Freedom, and the Opposite…

Have you ever gone around shirking any kind of resemblance to a quiz, test, or other big jargon like an exam when it comes down to what it is that we know in and from the U.S. Constitution? So many of us simply take it for granted that the Constitution is really the preamble “We the People”, in conjunction with those first ten or so amendments. Believe it or not, that is remarkably what it states about the importance of Americans Founding Documents for the Naturalization Test or basically any of the websites that offer quizzes.

As far as we are concerned there are three rudimentary questions that must be addressed if we are to survive as a people – a nation.

1 – Why is America so unique in world history; 2 – Why the Constitution (and the underlying principles on which it is based) enabled America to become the freest, most prosperous nation in history; and 3 – Why the key to making America great again is to restore the Constitution as the supreme law of the land.

To do this, “We the People” must elect a government that will respect rather than violate or ignore the Constitution. Subsequently the only way to make this happen is if the American peopletyranny2 learn about and understand the Constitution, and it underlying principles of individual rights and limited government.

There are many, many sites available that will openly encourage each of us to take a small quiz. The Pew Research Center, the International Scholastic Institute, and of course, the Naturalization Test that regardless we ask each of you to at least take a look at what real dumbing-down is and consequently grade inflation.

There are many institutions that actively teach the Principles of the Constitution as well as American heritage which are so critical to preserving liberty in America.

We are fully convinced that the only way to counter the assault on the Constitution and to restore liberty in America is to educate American citizens and our elected leaders on the Constitution and its underlying principles.

There is a reason that the Founders debated and went through the ratification process to ensure we had a Constitution. The principle reason is that the Constitution does not allow the government to do what it wants – a reason that it established a federal government with specific, enumerated powers. That reason is to ensure that the federal government does what it must to preserve liberty, and does not become tyrannical.

The Constitution does not authorize Congress to create the massive bureaucracy today that results in a fourth branch of government. And with the passage and enactment of Obamacare, that branch will grow even larger.

judicialwatch-3The Founders understood the need for a Constitution to limit the power of the federal government to protect civil and religious liberty. It is well-known today that if our political leaders actually followed the Constitution, one estimate suggests that the federal government would be about one-third the size it is now.

Furthermore, most of the day-to-day governing in America would take place at the state and local level. Instead our leaders are ignoring or actively opposing the limits on government established by the Constitution, literally enslaving future generations with unsustainable debt.

Unfortunately, far too many Americans today don’t even know what the Constitution says – which is why America is in such dire straits. Most Americans have never even read our Declaration of Independence, which sets forth the principles of liberty and limited government more clearly than any document ever written.

Please do not forget about our poll just over to the right…please participate!

What kind of administration would go to the lengths…

What kind of administration would go to the lengths…

irs tax formsWhat can you say about an administration that uses the Internal Revenue Service to go after its political foes?

What can you say about an administration that lies systematically about events leading up to the torture-murder of one of its ambassadors, U.S. military personnel and other U.S. citizens in Benghazi?

That can you say about an administration that uses drones to spy on its own citizens and to kill them overseas without due process. Has there ever been a time in the history of the U.S. where anyone remotely had domination complex?

What can you say about an administration that monitors the phone records of the largest news-gathering organization in the world – and one of the friendliest to that administration?

The only fair assessment is that it is a rogue administration. One that represents a frightening departure from any previous historical precedent in its authoritarian nature, one out of touch with the rule of law, one that is revealing itself to be prone to tyrannical policies and one that has committed so many impeachable offenses it’s becoming difficult to count them all.

And please don’t mind…but it is us who have stood by and done nothing whatsoever to stop this thug with his thuggery. (Please click here for further attribution.)

Almost on a daily basis now the police-state tactics of the Obama White House are on display. They no longer need to be ferreted out by a handful of independent journalists and the citizen blogosphere. Even the Big Media that have coddled Barack Obama and shielded him from scrutiny for nearly five years are shocked by what they see. AP_Web_1 (Please see this link.)

The latest abuse was revealed by the Associated Press – which was also the victim.

The lead says it all: “WASHINGTON (AP) – The Justice Department secretly obtained two months of…

The shocking report goes on to explain both work and personal phone records were seized and scrutinized.

“In all, the government seized the records for more than 20 separate telephone lines assigned to AP and its journalists in April and May of 2012,” the report continued. “The exact number of journalists who used the phone lines during that period is unknown, but more than 100 journalists work in the offices where phone records were targeted, on a wide array of stories about government and other matters.”

AP is, of course, outraged – and today sent a letter of protest to Attorney General Eric Holder, who, I predict, will not finish out his term in office.

holder in contempt“There can be no possible justification for such an over-broad collection of the telephone communications of the Associated Press and its reporters,” said the letter. “These records potentially reveal communications with confidential sources across all of the news-gathering activities undertaken by the AP during a two-month period, provide a road map to AP’s news-gathering operations and disclose information about AP’s activities and operations that the government has no conceivable right to know,” wrote AP President and Chief Executive Officer Gary Pruitt.

Obama rose to power suddenly and, with the help of friendly media like the AP, was unstoppable in his bid for a second term. But he may be the cause of his own political undoing. Nobody likes what they are seeing in Washington today – not the left nor the right nor the mushy middle, not the so-called “mainstream media” nor its burgeoning alternative, not conservative legal watchdogs nor the American Civil Liberties Union.

The Obama administration is running out of cheerleaders.

This is big.

It’s a game-changer.

Obama is fighting off too many scandals – Benghazi-gate, IRS-gate and now Press-gate.

If this were almost any other president in American history, he would already be writing his resignation letter.

Obviously the majority of this article was mastered by World Net Daily — and then we have added our fair share –h/t and thank you to World Net Daily.     Hat-tip

What kind of Progress Report is this..?

May 3, 2013 Comments off

Immediately after Speaker Boehner released his ‘Progress Report’ on Benghazi, another 13 Republicans bolted from House Leaders to cosponsor the Benghazi Committee.

If that isn’t an embarrassing ‘Vote of No Confidence’, I don’t know what is! What’s worse, Boehner’s ‘Progress Report’ dismissed in one slim paragraph the most egregious question underlying ‘Benghazi-Gate.’

We cannot be certain however the stance, position, and overall effectiveness of Speaker Boehner – as far as leadership is concerned – is definitely lacking if asserted at all.

America’s Question: Who ordered the military to deny help to four fellow Americans – then abandoned those men to slaughter at the hands of wicked, bloodthirsty Radicalized Islamic terrorists? Who gave the order? There are a multitude of issues that went wrong during the siege on our Embassy.

We believe that the American public has a right to know what happened, why it happened, and at whose watch it occurred on. It absolutely makes this writer and our staff sick to Kingdom come when we hear “The 3am Phone Call” that was played during Hillary Clinton’s campaign for president.

The ongoing events ex post facto or after the fact to this day make us simmering with anger over untold truths and the notion of fabrications; however, in lieu of all of this rubbish President Obama, still hasn’t taken one bit of accountability for this insane act of Islamic radicalism.

We guess he had far too important businesses to tend to in Las Vegas Nevada the following night to even bother himself with four American lives crusted to an end including a US ambassador and some Navy Seals.conpresidential seal

DOSEven worse is that the US AG Eric Holder proffered nothing in the way of securing the crime scene or even sending the FBI – allegedly the best forensic scientists – in the world until weeks after those tragic events occurred.

Therefore us to this point we have identified the Secretary for the State Department, the President of the USA, as well as the attorney general for the US – who is the highest ranking law enforcement official in the country. Yep, that’s right – the only person who can bring charges against the POTUS is the person appointed by nobody else than the president.

Boehner’s ‘Progress Report’ Answers: ‘No U.S. government element refused or denied requests for emergency assistance during the crisis.’

Is this the best they have? What a croc! No wonder 13 more Republicans bolted after this ‘nothing-burger’ of a ‘Report’!

Speaker Boehner needs to immediately appoint a House Select Committee to focus like a laser beam on Benghazi — not another 7-months of pussyfooting around!Obamacare_Immigration_v1-250x250 (1)

Now for the ‘rubber hits the road’ portion of this writing. Why or what on earth do the leaders of this nation have to hide that is so overwhelming that everything had to be heard after the campaign for reelection; so much indeed that another member of the elitist group had a series of head and mental issues that kept her from testifying.

Now the lying about ‘forced retirement’ of State department officials when in fact, they might have switched offices has to stop.

In other matters there are some interesting parallels being drawn between the absolute failure of Obamacare and this new proposed legislation from the Gang of Eight regarding immigration reform. Please stay tuned for either later or tomorrow. Interesting topics will include…How Obamacare and Immigration Reform bill are tremendously abhorrent to the American people; and, learn how and why the Senate Majority Leader, Senator Harry Reid, is distancing himself or see ya’ Obama!

Boys Scouts of America is proposing to lift the ban

April 22, 2013 Comments off

223px-First_Class_(Boy_Scouts_of_America).svgUnder pressure over its longstanding ban on gays, the Boys Scouts of America is proposing to lift the ban for youth members but continue to exclude gays as adult leaders.

In a controversial resolution released on Friday, the group proposed lifting its ban on gay scouts–a significant shift in policy for one of the nation’s largest and most prominent youth development institutions–while still maintaining its current position excluding gay adults as potential leaders. If approved, the policy would take effect on Jan. 1, 2014.

“No youth may be denied membership in the Boy Scouts of America on the basis of sexual orientation or preference alone,” read the proposal released on Friday by the Boy Scouts of America, whose roughly 1,400 National Council members plan to vote on the change at a meeting next month. But as for its adult leadership standards, the organization will “not grant membership to individuals who are open or avowed homosexuals, or who engage in behavior that would become a distraction to the mission of the BSA.”

The Scouts’ policy shift, which aims to strike a middle ground between positions held by gay rights advocates and those of its more conservative sponsors, immediately drew fire from LGBT advocates, who argued that the proposal did not go far enough.

We find that this is thoroughly constant behavior on the part of LGBTQ advocacy groups. Unfortunately, these groups as well as “immigration amnesty groups” and just about everything American about the nation, not matter how one is ruled – that ruling will never be enough for these types.

Just a bit more from the advocacy groups:

“Until every parent and young person have the same opportunity to serve, the Boy Scouts will continue to see a decline in both membership and donations,” said Rich Ferraro, a spokesman for the gay-rights watchdog group GLAAD.

Chad Griffin, president of the Human Rights Campaign, voiced similar disappointment: ”What message does this resolution send to the gay Eagle Scout who, as an adult, wants to continue a lifetime of Scouting bymula becoming a troop leader?” he said.

On the other side, the Scouts’ proposal of inclusion (however incomplete) could run the risk of alienating its conservative supporters, such as the Mormon Church and the Roman Catholic Church, which together sponsor groups enrolling about one-fourth of all scouts.

We begin to wonder how much capital any single LGBTQ organization has put into this youth organization. Despite what gay-rights advocacy groups would want anyone to believe, the fact remains they just don’t conduct business and/or organizational activities fair.

Trying to do any legitimate negotiating or business with any of the LGBTQ supporters is fruitlessly inconvenient. Now that they have infiltrated our military, churches, schools, and the Boy Scouts of America; let us not forget their actions on same-sex marriage, DOMA, to the point of conspiring against Elaine Huguenin, what’s the point anymore?

The point is folks — America by definition is a Judeo-Christian aligned nation. Even after all of the founding fathers quotes, logical arguments, people are still falling for the lazy way out of “acceptance and tolerance.” James Madison would be a real mess because of a little faction of America who continues to want, want, and want…

Congress…all dressed up and nowhere to go

March 27, 2013 Comments off

Or so it would seem to us. We have had it with these people who want to be leaders albeit, do not have the training, knowledge, or wisdom to be leaders. We’re going to be looking into the ideals of immigration reform – a topic we believe is rather an easy one; but no, no, no, as long as there are activist members of congress who think that it is “un-American” to force immigration laws (Nancy Pelosi) as well as a uscis1002Secretary of the Department of Homeland Securities (Janet Napolitano), and a president who willy-nilly signs executive orders calling for amnesty – where exactly do the American people come in?

The United States Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS), now referred to as Legacy INS, ceased to exist under that name on March 1, 2003, when most of its functions were transferred from the Departmenticeice-300x117 of Justice to three new entities – U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) – within the newly created Department of Homeland Security, as part of a major government reorganization following the September 11 attacks of 2001.

After 1890, the Federal government, rather than the individual states, regulated immigration into the United States, and the Immigration Act of 1891 established a Commissioner of Immigration in the Treasury Department. Over the years, these matters were later transferred to the purview of the United States Department of Commerce and Labor after 1903, the Department of Labor after 1913, and the Department of Justice after 1940.

Now trying to be as fair as possible the people responsible for this last action ostensibly are those ‘democratic elites’ we wrote about yesterday. If there is any difficulty in understanding up to this point, it is important to remember that from 1940 until March 1, 2003 the INS was transferred to the purview of the Department of Justice.

In 2003 the administration of immigration services, including permanent residence, naturalization, asylum, and other functions became the responsibility of the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services

DHS Patch Border Patrol(BCIS), which existed only for a short time before changing to its current name, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). The investigative and enforcement functions (including investigations, deportation, and intelligence) were combined with INS and U.S. Customs investigators, the Federal Protective Service, and the Federal Air Marshal Service, to create U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The border functions of the INS, which included the Border Patrol along with INS Inspectors, were combined with U.S. Customs Inspectors into the newly created U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The 2000 documentary Well-Founded Fear provided the first and only time a film crew was privy to a behind-the-scenes look at the INS asylum process in the U.S.

Let’s look at what congress is charged with – constitutionally. Under Article II, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution it is stated:

[The Congress] is to establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization, and uniform Laws on the Subject of Bankruptcies throughout the United States;

It all looks quite simple to us – that is, all congress is charged with doing was putting a uniform set of rules of naturalization and see to those rules affects and consistencies. Easy as pie. Can you imagine if only for a moment what if a reasonable and responsible congress saw to it that their lawmaking was executed to the fullest extent of the law?

No AmnestyI want to be able and sit back and tell you all is well – but the fact remains that it simply is not. All one needs to do is look at paragraphs one and two of this writing to see how knee jerk reactions cause unintended consequences to happen throughout the entire nation.

It is important to note that just about on a decade basis – once every 10 years or thereabouts – some irresponsible and unreasonable member of congress is back at it again. Press anyone of the links in the first three paragraphs and scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see more Acts, Bills, and other attempts to get things regarding immigration changed.

After all is this precisely what is going on in Congress and the executive branch of government right now? It does not take a lot folks to determine what has worked and what hasn’t worked.

America does not have a control of the amounts of immigrants that are already unaccounted for; subsequently, as refugees pull up in ships, or Florida’s famous law as to whether or not the illegal trying to escape Cuba has his feet on wet land or dry land assists tremendously in determining where that person originated.

What we meant by our last post – if we had communicated correctly

World Sailing MapWhat we meant by our last post – if we had communicated correctly – is that we believe that there is just far too much excuse making, storytelling, and well basic fabrications of the truth that is fed in massive doses either by advertisers or the mainstream media. Life, living, learning, and being aware of these issues are undoubtedly the greatest ideas as done by our Creator.

Therefore we are trying to encourage every person who reads to remember that: A person never stops learning and as long as they are truly living life – with purpose and proactively – then one’s learning should increase exponentially. We have acquaintances here that have been professional students; subsequently, their institutions refer to them as “lifelong learners.”

Still in other circumstances we all have friends who have just been accepted into law school and others that have gone on to train in the medical profession. These are regular folks – your average looking human being that attends Happy Hour a few times a week and others who are coaches of their kid’s soccer team. So how are these people able to do things that others cannot do?

As for me I call it planning. Please don’t misunderstand “oh, just plan to do it” because that would be wrong. There’s even an expression for what I’m trying to convey – “People don’t plan on failing, they just fail to plan.” But don’t you just admire those folks who out of nowhere come up with these new inventions, ideals, and so on?

All of that time we thought they were going along and getting along they were competing in their local science fairs, meeting with other folks with like interests and most of all doing something they’ve always wanted to do. I have admiration for those types of people. Folks, who know absolutely nothing about what they’re getting into, but have the gumption to keep on striving.

We keep writing famous quotes from the Founders of this nation, we try to inspire because the head of our government doesn’t have a clue what it is that we (those who pay his salary) want and need desperately. Are 031809_unamericanyour more apt to get out and work for someone who states, “You didn’t build that…” or with someone who says, “Together we can get that done,” and rolls up their sleeves to kick in.

Many are unaware of Rush Limbaugh’s life and accomplishments. And believe me you don’t need to even like the guy, but one can still appreciate what he’s done. Take for instance a call-in person who was overly gripping about selling his particular brand of cookies and other dessert treats in an open market setting in Northern Colorado. So Rush says, what’s the problem? And this guy goes on and on about how it might rain, its two days before the sale and the guy is also worried about how windy it may become.

Limbaugh recognizes the problem immediately and confronts the guy saying, All right then…what are you afraid of…c’mon really? Then this guy starts arguing with Rush about how to sell items. Rush gives him the “if you are in the preparation stages why are you talking yourself out of succeeding…when 75 percent is already done?” Dejected the guy mutters a few odd words to Limbaugh, something like, “He’s not the one dealing with the elements,” capitalism sucks!

Well all we heard was Rush talking to one of his producers or his go-to guy Sandy stating, “Well it wouldn’t hurt us to at least help…” and just about as sure as anything…early Saturday morning Rush Limbaugh and his mates went out for coffee and cakes and just a few cookies. So what they were in Northern Colorado! The rest of this story is about you and how are you feeling today, encouraged or defeated?

Life, living, learning, and being aware

March 25, 2013 Comments off

Life, living, learning, and being aware of these issues are undoubtedly the greatest creation as done by our Creator. We are sure that there are those who go on with the business of being there or just mere existence. Then again, we are certain that there are those who are living this matter we call life.

Living in this sense is the proactive means of getting the most out of life hopefully using the unalienable rights that we have been blessed with – or using the skills each one of us possess to advance in our understanding, meaning, and above all wisdom and knowledge.

Therefore who are we to ever cut our Creator short? It is not necessary to be a full of yourself as a walking witness for any religion on our planet – insofar as this certainly could be the sure highway to hell. Mind you it does not make anyone more or less saved or in touch with their god. In fact, the amount of war, killing of innocent people, and those innocently being killed who are in uniform, the infrastructure’s or entire cities, government offices, and the demise of complete cultures are no more because of man’s inability to get along with _______. Whom?

web_ph__dreamact_picA_t820When I think back of popular myths – the Crusades – and therefore evaluating what the real motives were behind every party involved, it does not come back to god. When one focuses on the amount of wars the USA has been involved in and then totals the amount of killed in action, missing in action, or worse, wounded in action it is amazing that we are still all around.

Now let’s switch our focus on to us – those US citizens as of right now. Back up to the 1st and 2nd paragraphs again – and we need to ask ourselves are we living? Ditto learning and being proactive? Are we getting the most out of the skills that we have been blessed with?

As a matter of due-diligence, please accept what we say here as good; perhaps, a little misguided but with a little coaxing each could inspire many great works. How easy is it to say, “I can’t afford to attend college?”Did someone force you Probably about as hard as it was for a guy to take a marking pen and inscribing on a piece of paper, “I now have a B.S (science) degree, $25,000 in student loans, and still no job!” (Different photo used..)

Now just for the brief stretch why should a person who can communicate a given notification, the use of proper color management, an earned Bachelor of Science degree, someone who thought this person was worth advancing $25K too, and let us all be aware that he still is unemployed. This reminds me exactly of illegal immigrants who after graduating high school wear signs that state, “What Now?”

We believe that the brain matter is in touch; albeit, further to that we also believe that the individual who made the sign is far too smart to be standing out on a street corner holding a sign – and that sign of complaint. Now we wouldn’t be saying this about a person who used the same energy, even less communication skills had he contacted a flower distributor and was surrounded by those white buckets full of flowers for sale.

Between the guy announcing that he has a degree and student loan debt, and the clad in mortar boards and graduation robes signing “What now” we allow this much: pursuant to our earlier article this past week entitled, Trust No one, not even your Government we tried to establish the following notion.

Of course, Obama’s presidency is following what is called the Cloward-Piven plan to a tee—that is, creating a crisis where the welfare state, through an unsustainable debt, collapses the economy, creating an economic apocalypse whereby the central planners can then easily usher in a totalitarian Marxist state.

The American Dream is still alive and well to those who choose to attain it. We argue corporately that there isn’t any less “rocket-scientists” now than there was in our nation in 1900, 1950, or 1980s. In fact, we believe that there are considerably more.

Americans need to pry ourselves away from what is free or appears free – stop being the welfare state we’re getting known as – and think of things perhaps in a more empowered way such as, “I need to find work…it is not coming to my door, therefore, I must go out and think again on those lessons I learned in college.” Am I using the skills I’ve been blessed with?
