Obama Administration would be catering to illegal immigrants…Posted: January 4, 2013
The chief difficulties that America faces because of current immigration are not triggered by who the immigrants are but by how many they are.
The task before the nation in setting a fair level of immigration is not about race or some vision of a homogeneous white America; it is about protecting and enhancing the United States’ unique experiment in democracy for all Americans, including recent immigrants, regardless of their particular ethnicity.
We bring this fact forth as our Mission Statement for The Contemplative Thinker. We harbor nothing against immigrants to our country. We further believe that it would be rather hypocritical of us to do so insofar as none of us originated from these lands with the exception of the indigenous Native Americans.
Therefore we find it reprehensible that the Obama Administration would be catering to illegal immigrants in the way he has been doing. Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) is relatively new to the Chambers but his moxy definitely makes up for his lack of tenure.
Yep, it was Senator Mike Lee who voted against the Fiscal Cliff bill one of eight republicans to do so. He was questioned hard this morning about why he voted against the legislation rather than join the herd fashion and vote for it. Here are the Senator’s remarks.
(Paraphrasing here) Senator Mike Lee does not believe in voting on or signing onto a piece of legislation until he, unlike Nancy “let’s pass the bill so we can read it” Pelosi until he has had an opportunity to read what he is about to vote on and sign. What a bloody concept! In fact, Sen. Lee made promises to his constituents that he would not even consider it.
Based on this premise – of either voting for the acceptance of over 1 trillion dollars for spending, Sen. Lee just stuck to his guns and said “no.” Okay so later on during the day I overhear one of the office news
channel’s gearing up for Neil Cavuto’s show with his hired gun friend, Howard Berg, who claims to be the “World’s Fastest Reader.” Today, the “Your World” favorite was once again put to the test, this time reading the 154-page bill voted on by Congress this week to avert the fiscal cliff.
Berg attempted to read the packed document in three minutes, but couldn’t quite meet that mark – however, the seemingly the small amount of time is, Neil says, scarily close to the tiny allotment non-speed-reading lawmakers had before voting on the bill.
Please watch this video to hear what he and Mr. Cavuto had to say about the recent bill at this link – press click here.
