Obama’s Remarks on Energy at University of Miami

February 23, 2012

We have just (for most of us anyway!) concluded watching the most horrific horror story that has appeared on our airwaves in at least four years. President Obama speaking to students at University of Miami, in particular the Industrial Assessment Center– is the show and with he starting and finishing it — in other words — no casting necessary, is really letting his untruths fly like butterflies from his mouth.

President Barack Obama is confronting Americans’ anxiety over rising gasoline prices by drawing attention to his energy policies and taking credit for rising oil and gas production, a greater mix of energy sources and decreased consumption. Example number one: Barack Obama always has a “hidden agenda” whenever he speaks publicly. He may appear as though he’s worrying about the price at the pump, yet in reality he flew aboard Air Force One from San Francisco to Florida for his speaking engagement there.

Obama is heading to Florida on Thursday to promote an energy strategy that the administration says will reduce dependence on foreign oil in the long-term. But Obama’s pitch will also have a subtext: that the federal government can do little to halt the current rise in gasoline prices. Are you buying into this load of rubbish?

We certainly are not! Whilst Obama states, “We can’t afford to live off of fossil fuels that have collected over the last century…drilling will not do anyone any good and if someone tells you otherwise, they either don’t know what they’re talking about or they’re lying to you. Funny to us how easily those words come to him.

Calling ALL scientists….calling any and all scientists! I have a problem that’s been bothering me for the last decade or so that I think you may be able to answer for me quicker than if I were to do the research. According to the CaAl- rich inclusion samples taken from earth and compared to most meteorite material from our solar system the Age of the earth is approximately 4.54 billion years (4.54 × 109 years ± 1%).

So here’s my question: If the earth has been around for 4.54 billion years what makes people believe that fossil fuels have some kind of life expectancy? You see 4 billion years is a long time and at the rate that fossil fuel regenerates — and we are sure that this information is taken in by sophisticated scientist — however, a century of using fossil fuels could not possibly burn up a supply that’s be growing for 4 billion years, to include flooding or whatever natural phenomenon should happen.

Obama aides worry that the rise in prices could reverse the country’s economic gains and the president’s improved political standing. A new Associated Press-GfK poll shows that though Obama’s approval rating on the economy has climbed, 58 percent disapprove of what he’s doing on gas prices.

”Now, we absolutely need safe, responsible oil production here in America. That’s why under my Administration, America is producing more oil today than at any time in the last eight years.

This type of number throwing is the character of abuse of politicians. How much has your Administration produced? And this cannot be taking into consideration the fiasco out in the Caribbean commonly referred to as “the BP mess.”

”And just like last year, the biggest thing that’s causing the price of oil to rise right now is instability in the Middle East – this time in Iran. When uncertainty increases, speculative trading on Wall Street can drive up prices even more. So there are short-term factors at work here.

These are but a couple of the quotes taken from the exact speech Barack Obama gave to students. If one were to include reading it — AND WE ENCOURAGE YOU TOO – in just the next two paragraphs there are more contradictions upon contradictions – ones that certainly qualify as mistruths, fabrications, or political speak.

I wonder if you all saw the video of Obama singing ‘Sweet Home, Chicago’ at the White House the other night. Its getting so the media can’t cover for him anymore. Imagine he was a tomcat outside your window and your precious Minnie was in heat! Would you have any mercy to this ebony crooner? Or would you prepare him a little treat of chilled antifreeze? Obama comes and talks to Industrial Assessment Engineers. Can he speak re: EROI with any more authority than he sang ‘Sweet Home, Chicago’? I wonder if there is any topic in the whole world which Obama can address without media cover or telepromptation.

Hey creolegenius! Welcome to The Thinker; from my article I believe watching Obama on any public medium is the same as a horror flick. However, I was wondering why so many articles in my search of British newspapers were making reference to Mick Jagger’s opinion on Obama’s style and ability. Ha!
