Immigration: Look at what Congress wants…

Immigration is a privilege NOT a right

Immigration is a privilege NOT a right

Before we get totally dumped on by Senators Schumer (D-NY), Dick Durbin (D-IL) and a host of others who assuredly have their own stakes in promoting amnesty or as Michelle Malkin would aptly refer to as “Shamnesty” it is overwhelmingly tantamount that we look at what these Capitol Hill people are going to try and do.
People! Make no mistake about it – these alleged leaders do not have the interests of the United States at stake anymore than they would remotely consider you and your family.
On Friday October 16, 2009 Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL.) outlined a mass amnesty bill on the Capitol’s West Lawn during an open-borders rally. Rep. Gutierrez’ bill ties together several amnesty bills already introduced during the 111th Congress as well as offering weak proposals for immigration and workplace enforcement.
The key points to Gutierrez’ bill is a mass amnesty and a focus on family reunification.
“We simply cannot wait any longer for a bill that keeps our families together, protects our workers and allows a pathway to legalization for those who have earned it. It is time we had a workable plan making its way through Congress that recognizes the vast contributions of immigrants to this country and that honors the American Dream. – Rep. Gutierrez
We certainly do not want to be callous or insensitive in any way; however, we do not believe that family reunification is something that this nation ought to be working on whatsoever. Why on earth — why we ask – why should we be concerned with reunifying a family when the primary care-taker took it upon themselves to leave in the first place? And folks, there is no degree of criminal activity as Congress would want us to believe; as a matter of pure fact, to smooth the edges of illegal alien into “undocumented worker” is discrimination! Not toward the illegal/criminal; rather, toward every person who lives here legally.
Just for our sakes – moreover, our reader’s knowledge base – just what exactly does Mr. Gutierrez mean when he refers to “honors the American Dream”? How many people who read this expression really understand what the alleged ‘American Dream’ is for that matter?
Folks, for those who have been reading this site and gaining information about the absolute cluster-muck Washington D.C. has already made of what is left of the Immigration and Naturalization Service, US Customs, and even our national security measures, why should we begin to listen to anything that spews from their mouths? Ladies and gentlemen you are not responsible for some 13-20 or more illegal aliens living, working, and reproducing in our country. Congress and the Presidency are responsible. Now rather than do the obvious – granting residency status, asylum, amnesty, or pathways to legalization which incidentally is the easy way out – the people responsible for this mess are those who should clean it up!
Phil Valentine an extremely popular radio host and best-selling author believes (as we do!) that immediately after the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and other bombings happened, that time frame would have been the best time to clear some ‘back-log’ if you will. Valentine believes that the United States should have asked first, that everyone in America, who was in the country illegally, or simply not supposed to be here, should be asked to leave – immediately. For those who did not comply should be deported.
Would we even be writing this article now if some responsible member of congress or the administration at that time even suggested this option? We can assure you there would be a lot less illegal’s here now. (Click here for a humorous read about the DREAM Act.)
