Enough of this Lunacy!

What on earth are they talking about? You know “they.” They are the meaningless mob that allow only for the ‘damned if you do, or damned if you don’t, ‘They.’”  I am referring to the tragic death of Benazir Bhutto in Pakistan and all of the disgusting finger-pointing going on since. When will humankind take attribution for their actions?

And no matter how many times we look at it, no matter how many angles this tragic situation is viewed, there will always be They. There will always be those who for some reason—ridiculous to borderline insane—pundits who will always blame the United States.

For one reason or another, truth, or fabricated lies, the U.S. is going to receive some type of blame. But there are some who think the Bush Administration is not without blame. I often wonder if ‘Some’ is related to ‘They’?

Let’s have a look at Hussain Haqqani, a former top aide to Bhutto and now a professor at Boston University, thinks the U.S., which has considered Pakistani President, Pervez Musharraf, as a key ally against terrorism since 9/11, bears some of the responsibility.

Washington will have to answer a lot of questions, especially the Administration,” he says. “People like me have been making specific requests to American officials to intervene and ask for particular security arrangements be made for her, and they have been constantly just trusting the Musharraf Administration.”

Far be it from me to be rude, but who does Mr. Haggani think he is? Making accusations suggesting that America in some way had a hand in the tragic death of Benazir Bhutto is outright without merit. Moreover, Mr. Haggani ought to be held accountable for his mouth and what spews from it.

What is with these people? Look at Senator Joseph Biden’s reasoning: “The failure to protect Ms. Bhutto raises a lot of hard questions for the government and security services that must be answered,” said Biden, who is also chairman of the foreign relations committee.

Furthermore, Sen. Biden’s empathy is admirable; however, comments such as “The U.S. should offer any assistance necessary, including investigative teams, to get to the bottom of this horror,” is unrealistic and irresponsible at the very least.  (Mr. Biden should understand that the USA already has offered!)

Perhaps our good Senator Biden should consider the fact that the USA’s Most Wanted list has at its top one Osama bin Laden, who has been living in Pakistan, and just how difficult is it to locate a 6′ 5″ male, who is dependent upon dialysis?

Now this notion is as simply ludicrous as any allegation launched at the U.S.A. The circumstances of Benazir Bhutto’s assassination should be looked at for what it is—a tragedy that occurred in Pakistan and committed by Pakistani people.  Hat tip to Time Magazine–have a look.
