Tragedy at Virginia Tech

stanford_museum_california_981371_tn1.jpgThose who have been reading my other blog, Think, Thinker, and Thoughts, welcome to my brand new and very improved weblog with this outstanding organization, WordPress.com. Talk about technology—talk about turn key operations—this is by far the most extensive collection of minds, friends, sharing, and good writing anywhere. I am proud to be a part of it.

Now for the update: As you know my former weblog requested and gently asked for readers to be interactive with the writing themes. Albeit a rant, feeling, thought, reflection, or simply being proactive, the exact same constructs are invited and welcomed here. I implore everyone to engage the brain, reflect, and collectively we can come up with making the world a better place. All this and much, so much more with wordpress.com.  Thank you.

The Tragedy

Now for my first post I have chosen the tragic event at Virginia Tech University (VT). I have come to know, personally, quite a number of folks who attended this fine institution of higher learning. I cannot possibly express how seemingly different these individuals are. All of them, albeit, students I’ve taught, professors I’ve worked with, and fellow students with me in graduate school, all of them have been the nicest, genuine, and rah-rah school spirited people I know. There is a real sense of community at VT. Maybe it’s being way, way out in Blacksburg, Virginia, I don’t know. But this much I do know:

For now (by no means am I done with this horrific action) it is time to pray. Yep, pray for the healing, coping skills, anguish, pain, and suffering these folks are going through at Virginia Tech and throughout the world.
